Boost keeps building up to 19.9. No drop off at all. it is a 7.8 inch crank pulley and 2.75 inch blower pulley. Thanks for the props! The change in cubic inches and compression has been a radical success.... great demonstration of how boost doesn't equal power. We are spinning the blower at the same speed, using the same cam, heads, intake, and exhaust, seeing 3 psi less boost and making 275 more hp!

Hi Walter, very impressed with your success and even more impressed that the 2.8L has no boost loss. What timing can you run with the higher compression.

Took Twisted, my kennebell powered sbf fox convertible back out to bremerton raceway for another outlaw 8.5 race. We had a best of 3 final. In the third round I ran my quickest 1/8 Et of 5.769. The video's can show how hard it is to get a small tire car down the track sometimes!

Streetcar Nationals here we come! Wish us luck, we are taking the convert to Vegas to race in 8.5 outlaw this weekend. We have made a couple of changes late in the season the yeilded interesting results. We shortened the exhaust from a 3.5 inch x pipe with dumps in front of the rear axle to strait pipes to bullet mufflers and dumps off each header collector. This change maxed my 120lb injectors out to 100% duty cylce for almost the entire 1/8 mile run. We now have 220lb injectors in and anticipate a healthy jump in et...pics and video to follow!

What happened next? After 3 years now you are asking? I could write a book on what happened next and then what happened after that and on and on. Lol Basically Walters car got a custom Hogans intake manifold and a much larger 3.6L Kenne Bell and is now making 35ish psi of boost. And he switched over to running straight Methanol. No more I/C. He has since gone as quick as 5.22 in the 1/8 mile.
And then of course I built my own version of his set-up and have gone as quick as 5.33 in the 1/8 mile with only 21 psi of boost with the much smaller 2.8L Kenne Bell. Those are the cliff notes.
