IMHO pullies are a waste of money, and plug wires would be too...especially if you have a 99 or newer mustang which doesn't even have plug wires.

COP= Coil On Plug meaning we dont have plug wires

as far as a TQ convertor goes a 3000+ rpm stall is good but you will need trans cooler , gears, and tuning


pullies are good they give you decent gains in the rpm band (which is good) but not many in peak

Pulleys SAVE money. They reduce parasitic loss, thus gas. And when you gun it you get a few more hp. There is no downside. One of the best mods I've done.

Sounds like you have some reading to do. Search around the forum for similar posts.

One of the first mods you need are gears. 4.10s for an auto. With them you need a chip/tuner (go with SCT Xcal2 tuner) that will correct your speedo and also make a massive difference to your auto shifting, and add 10hp along the way.

Do those b4 anything else. It will totally change the auto GT.

I would like to see a handheld tuner get 10 HP on an auto (stock block 99-04 GT) that has no mods other than 4:10s....


As to COPs, no need for those for a looooong time.

I would suggest since the OP isn't concerened about power that they look into

... mid-pipe and catback (more for sound)

.... Throttle Body (maybe a plenum as well) for the improved throttle response

.... maybe more comfortable seats

.... pullies possibly, though if not installed by yourself don't end up being worth the price for some one that isn't worried about every ounce of power IMO (I love mine)

.... dunno if they make an Aluminum drive shaft for Autos?

.... maybe some lighter wheels? (another gas saver, but you'd have to save a ton of gas to make up for what some lightwieght wheels will cost... that look great)

In one of the mustang magazines I get they were talking about the granatelli COP generating like 15+ hp from putting them on. They had a motor with the dyno sheets and everything, not sure if it was rwhp or fwhp but it had to deal with the fact that there was like 4-5 times the amount of material in the COP then stock which transferred it.
