would I lose power switching to a 3" muffler? currently have 2 1/2"

anyone. My neighbor has 3" mufflers for a great price. Just curious if I will experience anything bad for switching out my 2 1/2" mufflers and installing the 3" . The rest of my system is 2 1/2" as well. should I worry about anything else??

no reason to switch. wont help performance, will only hurt your wallet.

I was looking for a different sound actually. have flows but thinking I would like spintech sound better. My neighbor got some in a trade and asked if I wanted a go at them. I am not sure about the different size of the 2 mufflers either. I just wanted to check on the performance issue.

I dont think there is any issues exept it wont make any performance difference if you are going thru a stock cat and stock pipes.Fitment may be a problem. Sounds may be Ok but not sure as I have never seen or heard such a system.
