AC-Pony would like to know a few opinions on "WOOD DASH KITS" stainless steel honeycomb grille kit, that fits over the original black grille on th 05 GT. I have stainless license plate frames, and want to be somewhat different in looks. Color- Redfire- windows tinted-white Mustang lettering on quarter windows. Would of course add stainless trim around tail lights to finish it off. I'm a pure-ist at heart but don't want to over do it. I appreciate your input. Thanks

I think it would not look good, but then again I've got stickers on mine sooo....
I think a grill delete option would look great. Like an original Bullitt car. I really think the V6's look better from the front.

I would personally stay away from the wood dash trim kit. That kind of stuff is for the ford Taurus and such, not a Mustang.

The chrome grill might look good especially if you accent it with other chrome add-ons such as the tail light trim you were talking about. Just don't overdue it, remember it's still a Mustang

As for your window lettering, if it was mine I would take it off. You don't need to badge your car, the looks alone scream Mustang, no sense in putting the word right on the side of the car. Just my opinion though.

And finally mine is also Redfire, and I personally like the "dark" look to it.
I tinted my windows, blacked out the rear and put 20in hyper black wheels on it, which aren't really black but more of a grey w/ a polished lip. Anyways, the only chrome I have are the hood pins and license plate frames.

Bottom line though is it's your car, mod it the way you want

The chrome taillight trim looks like something you'd see on a Grand Marquis.

So these must be european cars?

It really all depends on the look you are going for. Since it sounds like you are going for a slightly more retro look than already built. It really depends on the prices. If the woodgrain trim isn't very expensive. Then buy it and test fit it. See if you like it. And return it if you don't.

Response to my question

I appreciate the input, thats the name of the company, the grille is STAINLESS Steel, not wood. You can look it up online. I almost had a Stainless steel billet grille put on but it didn't fit for some reason and it was supposed to be for my model, thats when I started looking on the "net" for options and found lots of choices. I will put pics of my car with the lettering on the windows and it is classic MUSTANG Lettering and I get lots of compliments on it, so you can make your decision by seeing for yourself. I will be upgrading wheels as I can afford too. Considered decals but like I said, I'm a pure-ist at heart and just couldn't do it. Thanks again.AC-PONY

Let me rephrase: Bright trim on the tail lights looks like it belongs on a Grand Marquis.

I found a pic of it online. I didn't really like it on car they had pictured (light blue) but I'm not sure how I would feel about it on a red car without seeing it. I think it would end up being too much stainless around the pony in the grille. But it's your car, it's up to you.
