Would like to replace stock radio in 05 V6

Or, when I go to replace my head unit, am I also looking at a replacement of the subwoofers in the door too?

All the stock stuff will continue to function... the only thing is the subs will "pop" when you turn the stereo on... The stock amps are looking for a 5 volt turn-on... but the aftermarkets are 12.. doesn't hurt the amps.. they just "pop" when powered on... you can fix this by installing a 5 volt regulator (??)

I replaced my Skipper 500 with an Alpine Double-DIN unit and the sub's work great! Matter of fact the sound quality in the car is much improved over what it used to be...
