So my best friend has a 99 Camaro SS with True duals...he's very cocky about his car...he also has polished aluminum wheels...his car's not very heavy...

We're on our way to my house today and he pulls up besides me and starts babbling (like i'm some flipping baby)...I didn't want any but he started revving...my 3.73s still haven't been installed...but I decided to floor it on him anyway. He stayed with me...he was obviously toying with me ( *some* LS1 owners REALLY suck dude...like...I wasn't like that when I had mine) then, just when I felt like I was gonna get into it...he kinda ran off...

That was embarrassing...he went through a yellow light and I was far enough behind to have to stop at it...because it was flipping red *then*...and all of these strange creatures (people) were all staring and pointing. One group of girls were all laughing at me (**** those *******)...hard...

I have to beat him...it's my life's (or at least, pre summer's) mission. I heard about the p-51 intake. how much power would it add and would I be able to get some heads that compliment it perfectly (gonna do one, why not do both, right?)

also, some guy at an autoshop was telling us that I can't put Mach1 heads and a Cobra intake on the car because the timing components are different...what do I need to do to do this so I can kick his arse?

Oh...and another guy who works on Mustangs only says that he's never done the 2v to 4v thing...

Put a 100hp shot on it. You'll walk right by him.

I know where you can get the P-51 intake for 450 dollars.

But I'll give my opinion as well. Spray it if you wanna win and win cheaply. All the bolt on stuff won't do it unless you wanna spend allot of $$$, cause you'll likely need FI along with a bunch of bolt on goodies to have a shot.

First off - install your gears. Second - don't bother with the P-51 unless you never ever plan on putting a twin screw/roots blower on your car. You can put a 125 shot on your car without any issues - that will leave him in the dust. If it was a Z-28 I would say leave it with just your 3.73's in and that's a fair race. If an SS is looking for a real race - he needs to go find a Cobra. That's like a GT picking on a V6 camaro/firebird.

btw....I don't endorse street racing

and I have a 2000 GT 5spd

so don't do the P-51 eh... I'm actually debating on leaving it as is and selling it

why dont you leave the racing for the track...its not worth doing it out on the streets for your sake and anyone else who is around. however if you still insist on it go for the spray cheap and effective

If you want to do it on the cheap get some spray. I however would start saving up for either a KB or Vortech. Unless he has boltons and gears you'll rape him.

And take it to the track.
