anyone know what this is or where it goes

That is the connector for the egr valve. The thing connected to it is a simulator to make it look to the system that the egr valve is functioning.

Nothing. It is just a way to take your EGR off, and keep the CEL fom coming on.

Yeah you can get them on ebay for our cars pretty cheap.

Dont buy that thing off ebay. go to your local parts house and find one for $40>

u do need it! it does help.

i just replaced mine and all the vacuum lines.

94, not sure where you are located, but if you have to get your car inspected and they hook it to a sniffer to check your emissions, you might fail, especially if they look for NOx. The EGR reduces NOx and pinging.

If my car can pass without an EGR, any car can. I don't think it makes much of a difference. And GA does check for NOx.
