Wow. Got to hand it to the guys at Brenspeed.com and SCT. I recently purchased an SCT Xcalibrator 2 from Brenspeed. Ran the car yesterday at our 1st test and tune of the year, cranked out a [email protected]. Previous best run was [email protected]. So thinking it was just a good day, i checked the local barometer and the corrected D/A, we were running at 1800 FT, decent air for Kansas. So I ran a few more times, 14.5, 14.55, 14.49. Wow, tuner must have helped. So, to check this, i re-flashed back to stock and ran, [email protected], ran again, [email protected]. Awesome, flashed back to my SCT tune, cranked out another 14.5.
.5/sec from a tune?? didn't expect that. Also had a buddy that had purchased his at the same time, he has an '97 GT stock cept for X-pipe and flows. Previous best run of 15.5@88. he ran a best of [email protected]. another .5/sec gain.
So the Xcal 2 was really worth it after all, the only reason i really bought it was because i was going to need it when i get my cams in the next month. Would hope to see low 14's, but now it's possible for mybe 13's. Anyhow, i've attached my slips for your analysis. The tuner really improved my 60'. Anyone else had this kind of gain from these??
