Personally, as far as snow driving or offroading, or any condition where the tires are spinning, i prefer a stick. Reason being, i've had too many automatics actually shift gears because the tires were spinning and the trany just shifted....that's how you get into wrecks. With a stick even if you're goofing off, you control the gears and the throttle so the car is only going to get as out of control as you make or let it.

I used to have a '92 Ranger extended cab....it was the only exception to this rule. For some reason that truck would never shift into 2nd when the tires were spinning, and i could drift that truck in the snow like nobody's business! I could seriously go down the road at a 45 degree angle but keep it going in a straight line.

AHHH, that means it might be coming towards CT and New England. The only plus side is weather does some weird things before it gets across the country, but I hope we dont have snow like that within the next few days...

I am NOT ready for snow. Its still been in the 50s here every day, I cant go from that to 30s and snowing, just cant happen!!!

I remember one winter some mullet in a 79 camaro was trying to make it up a hill, everyone was passing him as he was spinning his ONE tire off... poor guy, I felt so sorry for him as I passed him up the hill in my FWD zx2 lol

It's likely that the brain children who drove to work to make your Micky Ds coffee are to blame.

weve got about an inch of ice and another quarter to half inch of snow covering that here. driving home from work last night was a pain, out on 270 there was a lake about 6inches deep, just sitting there churning from the cars in front of me passing through it. those white caps were the only reason i saw it in time (that and the thunder snow, ive never seen lightning in this kind of weather before, freaked me out)

I don't EVEN wanna consider how bad it's gonna suck driving my notch in the snow/ice when I move back to the Midwest again. In fact, I might be better off just looking for a turdbox car like a Metro or something for the winter months.

'Till then, we're "suffering" through highs near the 70's and lows in the lower 40's/high 30's (at worst). You should hear the old people complain about how "cold" it gets down here. Sheesh. I still haven't even had a serious need for a heater, yet, after three years.

yeah umm it never snows on the oregon coast either, it is just cold(relativly) and rainy(by rain i mean 75 inches is a dry year) but it is nice enough to drive the stang all year round and me and pops are taking the quads to the dunes sat so not to bad,
i could never drive my stang in snow and ice, the body kit would be a problem and 3:55's and auto with it's own mind and firm shifts could lead to messy pants, and broken hearts

That's some seriously freaky-lookin' snowdrifts, there. For a moment, I thought it was a pic of a boat on a trailer or something.
