I have problem with iol pump drive shaft,,,
the drive shaft is ARP #ARP-154-7904...
the problem is when i install it from distributer hole the shaft dont reach the pump so it come to be short,i belive this is how to install it with yellow arrow up and the circle base sitting from distributer hole(dist to pump)
i try to install the shaft in oil pump and push up to distributer hole so the ring sit to block (from oil pump to dist)...
needs help please

at what position should the seftety lock pointing?
the block or pump

the pump. the shaft going into the distributor should be clear.
