Regardless of the band, this is how I judge them ( and typically that criteria justifies whether or not I have it in my music collection)

If the old singer or band is still making new music and can fill a major venue when performing live

( think Bruce Springsteen here, the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac)

Then I own it.

If that singer or band has to play to a smaller venue, ( like a casino) or has to gang up with other has been bands to fill a medium sized venue ( like the Journey/Doobie brothers concert that just happened) then that says they lived their lives and people ( myself included) are done with them.
MOF, I would go as far to say that Journey probably needed The DB more than the DB needed them)

The 80's..... The birthplace of music that Lived and died with the CD.

I don't necessarily share your same sentiment, although it sounds like we have somewhat similar taste in music-somewhat.

I LOVE Journey. And the Doobies. Don't own a lot of their music, but still like them.

I like a broad range of music. You'd be surprised.

Speaking of broads....I sure liked Pat Benatar and her leather pants.

Journey was DONE when Perry left. They play Honolulu about every 6 months with whoever happens to be the front man at the time...zzzzzzzzz....

Yeah they may be done, but it doesn't make their old music any less awesome.

Geez, with this mindset no one should have cared about the Beatles since what? 77?

Well,...and I thought the other statement I made would stir up the hive....

And you S550 guys,.....It would/will be your one fell swoop to discount anything I'll ever say about conformity from here until the end of time. (well for 3 years at least).

Too bad you'd rather talk about that low top converse wearin' Goob Steve Perry,....I thought this forum was about cars.

No, No, No!! You're missing the point.

The point is........if you'll go back and read my first update of the day,....I stated that on Monday I get my brand new car.

Now, I've also brought it back up again two posts prior.

Jeez,... Do I have to spell it out for you?

The only thing left for me to do is to tape a piece of notebook paper on my back that says "Kick Me."

hood...

It's Toast.

The second day completely wasted trying to get rid of the massive warpage in the middle of the hood has resulted in a mild case of laryngitis, from screaming at the top of my lungs,..and a mild headache.

The hood is so F'd now I have to cut out the damage, and patch in two new replacement pieces where I've attempted to try and straighten it out. It just aint happenin. The hood looks like the reason What the F uc! was put into use.

Now, in order to save the piece of sht, I've gotta cut out the damage. I don't have a warm and fuzzy there either, because I have to weld patch panels back in. Welding in anything into that thin assed sheet metal is just a disaster waiting to happen.
and probably even more warpage will ensue. By the end of today I was so pissed I literally tipped my head back and screamed at the top of my lungs and beat the hood several times with the pointed end of a body hammer.

Needless to say,...I'm better now. The section of the hood where the body hammer made contact.....

Lets just say It's not doing too well.

I gotta go help #2 change out the window motor on his 86 right now,...lets see if I just cant have a full on stroke today.

Oh that sucks Mike. If it makes you feel any better, the roof of my boy's car made me do that. Twice.

So, @madmike1157 ... You've stated that you were getting a bimmer in the past , now it's a BMW, but it's not. BMW owns mini and rolls, and you ain't getting a RR. Common sense tells me a BMW genius doesn't drive a mini, sooooo....

.... I've been waiting. Spill it.

Please say M3...
