anyone used the quarter window molding covers?

just wondering if anyone has tried this out yet. my molding on my quarter windows like some others have looked better and feel nasty. and i really don't want to spend a few hundred bucks on more windows just yet. so any info would be great thanks!

iin the gadsden/attalla area. im on ars. as dropmelow. didnt think about pullapart i have to check it out when i get off call. thanks for the idea.

I have them on my car and I like them. Painted them to match the black top half of my car and they look good and fit great.

I used them and they look terriffic however I had problems getting them to stay on and ended up replacing the windows with a nice pair I found on eBay for 150$. Bottom line, the covers are a bandaid fix.

I have them ....like them alot only problem after 5 years one side has cracks, still would get them again

That looks good, the quarter windows on the 91lx are bad My plan is to buy new ones for the 93 and put the decent ones off the 93 in the 91.

yours and dman's are the only cars i have ever seen pics of with them, they dont look too bad. may try em since mine are so beat i cant really fix em.

had them on my 88....took home several trophies with that car, not one judge noticed nor did anyone else unless I pointed them out. They are a pain to trim and fit for perfect fit but it's not all that bad a job. If I had to do it again I would have gone with replacement windows though but they weren't available at that time.

I have them and have for several years now. Not a bad solution for covering up a problem.. if I ever do a full repaint, will probably restore them, but for now, they look fine.

Why not just take the money you were going to use to buy them and restore the ones you have. Just a sugestion.

yeah i got a couple trophys too never had one judge question them only 5.0 people asking me where i got them. Mine are 5 years old one side has some cracks......i would buy them again..........i actually like how they look

primer, sand, primer, sand, primer, sand, paint...

i didn't know you could do that. they feel like they are some type of rubber. if that can be done then i will just restore them.

they are rubber but you can sand past the orange peel looking pitted rubber and smooth it out and repaint it black.

some are so deteriorated that you cant, like mine. i can get the "field" filled in pretty well, but the edges and details are gone for good.
