Car dies when stopping?

My car dies when I come to a stop sometimes, happed about 6 times today. Happened 3 times to my brother, take car out of gear and brake, car stalls. Same happened to me on the highway, except I was barely braking and it would stall. Any reason why this is happening?

how is your alternator output? sometimes the fact that you went to idle and are using brake lights will cause the volts to dip, and the car wants to die out. also, i think if the IAC is slow, it could be slow to adjust the idle where it needs to be. also malfunctioning EGR would cause poor idle. pulled codes? just my thinking. good luck.

Dump the codes and see what the computer says is wrong…

Here's the link to dump the computer codes with only a jumper wire or paper clip and the check engine light, or test light or voltmeter. I’ve used it for years, and it works great.
