Actually, it's my idea. My late father special ordered the car back in 1998. It's a plain appearing Escort ZX-2 coupe, but he ordered the Zeta motor (Hi-Perf), 5-speed, and better
suspension, but just boring ol' grey outside, and standard interior. He liked sports cars, having owned a few MG's, Morris Minors, and a 1964.5 Mustang, as well as his favorite, an early Rabit GTI he adored. Rode hard as bricks, but what a blast to drive.
As soon as the weather breaks, The car is at my Mom's, and we will borrow it at first to get Deanna comfortable with the clutch. If she likes the car, we'll strike a deal with my Mom. I would very much like to take Deanna to a racing school, and get her high-speed and car control instruction from a Pro. Her Honda would blow up on the first high-speed session!
So, maybe soon she'll piloting a blue-oval.
