No. 94-95 had a longer input shaft and specific bellhousing to place the shifter where it belongs.Hey I know this is an old post but would an 88 fox GT trans fit a 95 GT? I'm wondering cause my aode has gone bad..

Where the shifter belongs? 3/4" is hardly noticeable. On this project I used a Fox T5 and it worked perfectly. Just gotta use the fox bell with the fox transmission.
Yes where it belongs ? I guess it was longer with a specific bell noshing for it's health ....Where the shifter belongs? 3/4" is hardly noticeable. On this project I used a Fox T5 and it worked perfectly. Just gotta use the fox bell with the fox transmission.
It's actually quite noticeable. when you can drag your knucles across the radio bezel, shifting into 3rd gear... there is something wrong.
I've installed a 3550 in a 95 cobra personally but we were speaking from a t5 stand point . if no difference then why make a specific input shaft and bell housing ? Again you are talking down a bit like no one answering has any experience .Lots of people running around with Fox t5's and Tremec TKO's and 3550's in SN5.0's which put the shifter in the exact same place as a fox trans and no issues. A simple piece of metal with 4 holes drilled in it will correct the shifter location. Steeda used to sell them.
Fox T5, Tremec 3550, TKO (pre 500/600)
Yes, I have installed them all.
Might want to review my resume before trying to call me out on something like that.

Well today i learned something new . Like i said i have done the 3550 into a 95 just not a 87-93 t5- i stand correctedYou're putting words in my mouth now. I never said there was no difference. I actually said there was a 3/4 inch difference which was HARDLY NOTICEABLE, for me anyway. And yes, we are talking 3550 AND T5 standpoint since the bellhousings for each have the same dimensions and put the shifter in the same exact spot. The 94/95 bellhousing is deeper than a Fox requiring a longer input shaft to reach the pilot bearing since Ford shifted the motor 3/4" forward. I'm not disputing that, I'm simply saying the shifter being forward a little is a non issue if you want to install a much more widely available Fox T5 instead of the more rare and expensive 94/95 T5's.
Alright, thanks a few tons bruddahThe fox pedal assembly won't work. You can use any V6 assembly from 94-98 and 94/95 5.0. You can use the 99-04 V6 assembly but the configuration is different for the brake light switch and cruise control. It'll physically bolt in and operate the clutch but the other things will have to be adapted to work.
