Do you mind me asking what you paid for it? I was there that friday and they quoted me a price of 28,500 for a coupe in the same color, but didn't want to give me anything for a trade in. Guy told me they sold three cobras that week. THe boyd coddington california roadster mustang was in the special interest group. They have a magnaflo o/r tru x-pipe on ebay for 285.xx, is that a good price? full line exhaust emailed me a quote of 429. And, yes this does seem like a very slippery slope.

That is a really good price on the Cobra. When I bought mine, they had an older one(still an '03, but an early production)in the lot for that same price. I think it was a Redfire coupe. Well, I ended up instead going with the 10th Ann. for 31k. The wierd part for you is not getting an allowance for a trade in. What's up with that? Is that 28,500 price including all rebates?

As far as the Magnaflow X-Pipe, I can't honestly remember what I paid for mine. Try this vendor out, and give them a call. They sold me my whole Magnaflow system cheaper than thier prices on the website. I think I ended up spending like $650 to my door for the C/B and the X. http://www.houstonperformance.com/

Well I called KB on friday, and talked to the programmer, Ken. THIS GUY KICKS ASS!!! He is sending me a new chip free of charge. We were on the phone for a good hour. KB's customer service and tech support are the best I have seen yet. What we decided on is to bump back the timing in a few areas of the RPM range. I'll probably lose about 12 hp in a couple spots, but I think I can afford that for safetys sake!! The main problem is that the heads for the 01 model year were just a tad bit different then the heads of the rest of the 99+ cars, so there were a few tuning issues with them. Hopefully this new tune will help out! :nice:

Yeah, wiscasset window price always up front and includes all rebates, never been able to talk them down. Only wanted to give me six for a trade in allowance on mine w/ @30,000 miles. I wasn't to serious about buying it, so maybe that's part of the problem. Also the guy that had it before me looked into trading it in and thats what they quoted him, so maybe they didn't want me going back and telling him that they gave me more. Guy that had it before me still owed @ $6,000 on it.

Yes, that is what I am hoping for............Although it did run just fine until WOT, even then it ran strong except for that little marbles in a can noise!!
well that fun little noise can be real expensive even if it only happens at WOT. When you get things squared away with it maybe it might be worth looking into a water/methanol injection system.
