hey, just watching american hotrodder on discovery and it reminded me of a show i went to last year, i can't remember where, and there was a yellow boyd coddington california roadster mustang there. Anyone go to that show? Behind wal-mart? A mustang II won first and an '03 cobra won third, and a black 'vert won second? I won a raffled watch.  I never where watches, it still in the box some where in my house. Some kind of h.s. sport booster show.

Ya, Chris ,Bryan and I attended that show too. That was when Chris, his car, and his shoe had a disagreement with some poop :rlaugh: . The car that won, the black vert, had anti-sieze painted in his engine bay. Looked like crap, he should not have placed IMO. BTW, the '03 Cobra that took 3rd was mine :D .

Yeah, i agree that he souldn't of placed. I didn't want to say it when i first posted about it, but i was really pissed. Like i said, he had mud splattered all over it, and seemed to think it was a big deal that he had a 302 emblem on it. Are those hard to find? I assumed that he went to the high school and that was why he won. It's even funnier now that i think about it cause it was advertised as being judged by "people who really know their cars" :rlaugh: instead of the more common participant judging. I remember hearing anti-sieze explaining the difference between gt and cobra to one of the judges, and telling her that mine had irs. yea they really know their cars. :bs: Had you recently bought that car at wiscassett cause that was when i was looking at trading in mine for an '03 from them and i seem to remember the wiscassett plates. Only wanted to give me 6K for trade in. :nonono: What did you guys think of the boyd car? I thought it was pretty nice, but i wasn't blown away. I'm just not that fond of yellow.

Yes, I had just bought the car at Wiscasset Ford about a week before the show. I showed up with it without telling anyone that I had bought it. It was pretty funny to see the expressions on thier faces. Not sure if I know what you are talking about in reference to the boyd car. What is that? Oh yeah, BTW, nice choice on the exhaust :nice: . I ma assuming you will need new sideskirts now too. You are now officially on that slippery slope of modding.

oh god dont let fred see that, hes going to start pulling his hair out :rlaugh:

I read pretty much the whole thing and that guys a total retard. A stock SRT-4 has the same HP TQ #'s as what Im getting now and I could come no where close to taking an 03 Cobra.... YET :D . Even if you mod a SRt-4 I mean neon enough to pull 300 at the wheels it still cant bean an 03 Cobra, what a retard

Do you mind me asking what you paid for it? I was there that friday and they quoted me a price of 28,500 for a coupe in the same color, but didn't want to give me anything for a trade in. Guy told me they sold three cobras that week. THe boyd coddington california roadster mustang was in the special interest group. They have a magnaflo o/r tru x-pipe on ebay for 285.xx, is that a good price? full line exhaust emailed me a quote of 429. And, yes this does seem like a very slippery slope.

I was over seas protecting you retarded ass!!!!!!!!

Yeah and I dident make it to those other shows b/c I had BILLS to catch up on. I couldnet just bang out left and right and burn up all my sick time when I was still on probation, it dosent look good. I know you were over seas at the time of FFW I just wanted to point out that neither one of us could make it to all the shows that we wanted to b/c of our circumstances.

yep! we were there. Mike had the Red Cobra. I had the white 93GT next to it and next to me was Chris with a white LX that smelled of dog poo.

Fun at Wiscasset Ford

Fred and I went down to Wiscasset Ford on Saturday, and guess what we saw? A brand new Mystic Chrome Cobra and a Red Mach1. Fred talked to his salesman and he let us take the Mach1 for a spin. Let me tell you, being 03 Cobra owners, we are impressed with that car! It accelerates very well, has a solid rear axle(no wheel hop  ), and has a bunch of nice little interior touches like the shifter bezel, seats, shifter knob, and a few other things. Most impressive is how much car you get for your money, especially when compared to the GT. The Mach1 was 24k, the GT was 22 or 23. Awesome car :nice: .

The Mystic Chrome Cobra was one hell of a looker, but like Fred was saying yesterday, "It doesn't look tough or badass enough.". Petty to look at, yes, but I would hate to scratch that f'ckr and have to pay for paint.
