Wish me( us ) luck tomorrow!!

ive been boarding a few times im really good at going straight. which gets really scaryy when you on a blue run and you point straight down the hill till you feel you dont want to go any faster so you fall down cuz that will slow you down.

One thing I always hated about the first day of the season is the morning AFTER. You will discover muscles that you never thought existed because of how sore you will be. Once you go up a few more times it will level out. I haven't been on the mountain in a while so I know I would be a little rusty but I LOVE snowboarding. Used to be pretty damn good at it too, but when your friends are pro riders you tend to have to be fairly good to keep up with them. I miss living in Bend, I miss Mt Bachelor, but I miss not being the fatty that I am so I can get back into riding again, haha.

Word of advice, don't get discouraged. It WILL take time for you to get used to it so keep your chin up and wear extra padding on your butt.

couldnt have sad it better myself, this year will be my 7th year snowboardgin and I remember my first day like it was yesterday... that probably has to do with the fact that I learned on a very icy day and my friends idea of teaching me was saying "Watch me" and then leaving me at the top :nonono:

OMG were home... BARELY!!! umm yeah I actually went into the store at the lodge to see if they sold butt pads..

whats funny is after the 2 hour class I was like F.U._ _ THIS!!! IM DONE!!!!!!!!!

We went up and ate and after sitting in front of the fire and thinking it over, I WENT again. This time no instructor and I used Phaedras board which was a little longer then mine. ( not sure why) and it seemed to either help or It was just me.. soo with that in mind I made about 5-7 more passes and by the last one I had made it down without falling!!! WHOOO HOOO...

but yes my butt and wrists hurt from falling SOOOOO many times. I already have huge bruiSes on my knees and one huge one on the inside of my leg...

( Ill let phaedra tell you her story... LOL)
