Seat Upholstery Q

Lookin at new upholstery for front and rear seats in an 84 GT Mustang. Wondering what the difference is between different years of seats. For example can i use 87+ sport upholstery? Or will it not fit?

im not to sure but i belive the difference is sport seats and standard i would go to 50resto.com and check years and part numbers to see if they match or call 50resto there pretty knowlagable on such things.

No other difference that I've been able to notice.

Man I hate the big "football" headrests that are in my 89 GT. I wish they sold smaller ones as a replacement. I'm going to sell them and install some SVO Recarros...... someday.

sweet. i know a guy that has a drivers 90GT seat that he's gonna give me for free and is in mint condition. just figured i'd ask before i went to pick it up lol.

I actually just had to throw away some 86 GT and 86 T bird seats last month, the birdy seats were pretty nice. The GT ones weren't bad either, but red

I did keep the halos from the GT seats though

yea red on red is ugly imo lol. my sisters 90 is that way. wouldnt mind finding some halo's for my 89 seats though, seen a few like that and they look pretty cool.
