Ok guys going to test drive a new car today. this is not a replacement for the stang but a daily driver. Tell me what you think. 2004 gto fully loaded 19,000 miles 6 speed its in showroom condition 17,900 out the door. never driven one before. i have spanked 2 in the gt allready and one was a lightly moded 2006 so they are not that fast. but it looks like a nice driver. any problumes that these cars have you can tell me.

thats pretty sweet man. yea they are decently quick i saw one only running a best of a 9.0 with a six speed and drag radials and thats 1/8th mile obviously lol. but those are awesome cars man.
Do you have rocks in your head? A daily driver should be cheap, effecient, and in WI it should be FWD...

wow, let the man do as he pleases. the gto's are nice looking cars, and they have some good luxury to them also. ive only ever sat in one, but it was pretty nice. im sure it wolnt rattle pop and bang around as much as our stangs.

Nice, but I agree with Kilgore, I would recommend something that is comfortable auto V6. I personally have have GrandPrix GT for my daily driver does the job nice and in style (Kinda) but I think you know what I mean.
If your hart wants a GTO then go for it nothing wrong with that car..Only seen them on the WWW. Canada does not have them.

That's an awesome deal. Ive driven one before. The seats a very comfortable and the car seems to be well built. The 400hp is quite nice too, but there was mad traffic when I went for my test drive so I didnt get to romp on it quite like I wanted to. I would at least go check it out and drive it. If you dont get tooo crazy with the mods you could defiantly use it as a daily driver. I drive my stang everyday 
The six speed is much different from the 3650, in the way it sits, ive gotten used to the crooked shifter, and I had a little bit of an adventure trying to get used to the flat shifter again. Those seats are sooooo worth it, you will know what im talking about after you sit in one. The problem is it feels a little fat, but other than that, id own one.

The problem is it feels a little fat, but other than that, id own one.Well i bought it and im not sorry. very nice car. and if you cant drive a car in the snow you shouldnt be able to drive. if your carefull you can drive a rwd car anywhere. It is peppy and drives very smooth at 65mph in 6th she is at like 1200 rpm. and a good fully loaded grand am or g6 with 18000 miles will cost you just as much.ill shoot u some picks later. detailing it now

FYI the 2004 has the LS1 with 350 hp, not 400hp. Nice car either way.

Congrats on the purchase. Although I do agree that a very good driver should know how to control a RWD in the snow (I certainly do), it just doesn't make sense on practicallity. You're at a severe disadvantage compared to FWD or AWD in the snow. Going up icy and snowy slopes in a RWD is a chore no matter how skilled a driver you are.

IMO the GTO is a family mans comprimise to a Stang. Sadly Killy is right, for a DD you should be getting something reliable, cheap, and good on gas. I think the GTO is a decent ride, just not an alternate method of transportation when my Stang can eat it and get the same mileage.
Now if your Stang is going to be a track only car and you wanted something to hual the family around in that still had some decent nuts, then sure a GTO is a good buy.
