JME gauge cluster and factory cluster

why ask me

when you can ask Julio Mayen hisself, aka Mr. JME. He has replied to every email I ever sent him. He let me know that he will be offering a brushed alum. interior kit for the dash and doors for 1969 -1970 mustangs next year, similar to what is offered for the 67's and 68s. That sealed the deal for me and I will be picking up a clulster and inserts once they are available.

toodle-ooo.

Anyone know of an alternative to JME? I've been talking to a company here in Georgia (Not sure if I'm allowed to drop the name) that'll make them for you. A bit cheaper than JME and the same look from the outside. Not as pretty on the back-side though. I've seen kits but looking for a finished product.

Do you have the ability to do it your self for around $400? (I think you have a 67 as your name implies).

Not to steel this thread, but...

In my 67 the old dash had a voltage regulator for some of the gauges. Does anyone know if you have to install the old instrument voltage regulator for aftermarket Autometer gauges? Or do the new gauges run off straight 12v?

I believe that most of the Mustang parts suppliers have billet gauge clusters for the early models. Year One makes an instrument pod for the '69/70 that is not quite as nice as JMEs but a lot less expensive.

So Cal mentioned it above. What about Hanelin? I believe they are cheaper then JME

I took a look. I don't like the finish on the one on the webpage. I'm thinking of making my interior into the deluxe or shelby interior so am looking for a nice brushed aluminum one. It appeard that they only sell that polished aluminum.

I was thinking that I could get the parts and then use my old bezel as a training environment... Hmmm, maybe I could that.

That's what I did and a couple of others here:nice:
