changing motor mounts...help

ok, im trying to change my motor mounts, but i cant get the big nuts that bolt the mounts to the k member off, any ideas???

i have tried, but my compressor isnt strong enough to run it properly, i was hoping for another idea

i just did mine yesterday used a big extention on a 1/2 inch drive rachet, sure did the job!

do i need to have something else un bolted first??? im gonna have to try and get the car higher up so i can get a longer bar in there i guess

lol if you need help on how to remove nuts what are you taking an engine out for. lol. Just soke it overnight with wd-40 and take them off in the morning with 1/2 breaker bar. if that doesn't work try heating it up with a torch for a few seconds at a time.

im pretty sure i didnt ask you to be a jerk about it, ive tried all these things, my question was simply if anyone has had an issue with this how did they get it fixed

use a short 1/2" drive socket, and possibly a u-joint

put a wrench or ratchet on there and hit it with a 3-5lb mini sledge..i love that thing

everything is torn down, i just put the heads back on on the weekend

if you have a floor jack take the handle out of it and it will give you a 3ft cheater bar on your 1/2 breaker bar and if that doesn't break the bolt loose........ not much else will.

remember to use a good quality socket on this being as you are putting a pantload worth of power into this.....I have a nice sized scar in the top of my hand from when my cheap socket exploded under the pressure

ive tried that, problem is i just dont have enough room under the damn car to get it, i think im just gonna leave it till i can get a good impact on it
