Stupid question about timing (new heads and intake)

Okay so I got the car running, I don't have a stupid timing light (yet) so I did the best I could. I found TDC and advanced the crank to +14 degrees and installed the dizzy at #1. It runs but you can tell timing is waaay off lol I'm going to redo this, I'm too retarded to re-install a dizzy now (very bad week).

But the funny thing is; with the dizzy in the stock location, I have little or no adjustment room with the 93 Cobra intake. Should I install the dizzy so the TFI module faces another direction (rotor still set to #1 at TDC)?

you can reinstall the dizzy as you mentioned above. as long as you stab it where it is pointing to #1. seems like you already have an idea what to do so this shouldnt be to difficult. and im not sure about your location, but here autozone has a timing light you can borrow. and i wouldnt trust setting the pointer on the balancer 100% because they can slip. then again i guess if it slips a timing light isnt going to do much good. sorry for the ramble just giving my opinion.
