North East SSoM Members!!!

Thats why I'm concentrating on things I can do here, in my dirt yard. I can't fix the ABS brakes if I **** them up. A trip to autozone for a "free" tool rental? OK, thats alright, I'll let it pass, you flatlander. :D

FWIW, I went over to mainland yestarday, left here at 7am, saw mom at rehab for an hour, got back in ferry line @ 11 am, spent the day moving up, after 4 loaded boats, I still didn't make it home. So camped out in the truck, and finally got home around 10:30 am this morning. No shower, no toothbrush, clothes or pillow or blanket. I friggin' hate summer jerks.

you could keep the tools as long as you want. Just return them with the receipt to get your deposit back. So you could do that even though you are on the island and obviously it would take you a while before you got back to return it.

That must suck waiting in line to get back home.
I still have my stock steel driveshaft if you want to try that on your car. You would have to swap yokes. Just to see if it eliminates the noise. Wish I could be more helpful and closer.

Any of you bitches from florida see my spread in Modified Mustangs. Have a nice plaque at the shop of it now. Travis, You can get the same times with those nitto's as any other DR. You need to work on your driving. Let me try it out, and I can tell you if it needs work anywhere. Powershift = lower ET's
Larry, of you think it's a wheel bearing, than it's easy to locate. If front and heard turning left, than it's the right one and vise versa. Same for the rear.

Get your own Mustang to beat on. I never said the Nittos were the sole reason, its just that they are not the best DR out there. The BFG's and MT Streets get much better reviews as far as traction at the track. Im not losing out on any money by replacing the nitto's its not like I paid for them they were on it when I bought it.

I got that fuse from PA Performance. Are you open on weds with it being the 4th? Also can you price out 3.73's the best I found was through buyfordracing.com for $173.13 shipped.

Travis..you are replacing the front control arms as well? Why?

They need to be replaced, they make a clunking sound when I come to a stop under braking and do it when I hit the throttle. I was aware of this before I bought the car its just seems to be getting worse recently.

probably the rubber bushings are worn. A much cheaper fix would be to replace the bushings with urethane ones instead of the whole arm. Just a thought.

Yeah I was debating on upgrading the arms or not, I'll prob just end up doing the bushings just b/c Im getting enough of a list now of things that I want to do with it soon and further on down the road.

If you went with tubular control arms then you would probably have to go to coil overs, which greatly adds to the cost.

New idea for the next fire over at Chris' house...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nc3vcXp_7O8&mode=related&search=
I have a super soaker with 4 diff. nozzel sizes.

Im not planning on coil overs anytime soon either. Maybe I'll make that a whole different project down the road and do the K Member, Control Arms and Coil overs.

That super soaker Pwned that kid!

Brian, I think you missed my point, any trip to the mainland can end up being very expensive time and money wise.

Chris, I really don't think it's an axle bearing. Although it's a possibility. I've been passing around my copy around here, hope it helps.

Fred, 'bout time.

I'm probably going to go to a garage just to have them pull the code so I know what the problem is. That way I will fix it myself.
I wish there was a easier way to do it with out a code reader. My old camry I just jumped two wires and counted how many times the light flashed to figure out the code. The codes were in the Hayes manual that I had for the car but I don't see the same thing in the manual for the stang.

Didn't have anything planned for the 4th, but if you guys want to come over that night thats cool. I'll check on the gears Travis. Bryan, I wouldn't worry about any codes right now until it's tuned. It's probably a O2 or MAF code.

KEGGER!!!!!

just kidding.

Im sure it must be tough trying to deal with the car on a island. Just trying to come up with possible suggestions to fix it.
I need to figure out what is causing my check engine light to come on.

And I appreciate your help. Think I could find a plug gap tool around here this afternoon? NO. I'm just gonna do the plugs and tranny fluid, easy enough, maybe try cleaning the calipers. Then, if any shedders ever show up, I'll spend the money to get my brakes straightened out and see where I stand from there.

My cel is on about 1/2 the time. I take it to auto zone about every 6 months to make sure its the same "secondary emmissions" thing.
