Ok so i finally have some time and money to work on the 5.0 and i have a few issues that i am trying to figure out. let me give everyone a lil background....
1988 mustang 5.0 gt conv. bbk air intake, bbk h-pipe no cats and duel flows.
1st prob: when i was driving my stang before, if i drove it for like 30-1hr and got it warm, then parked it and turned off, if i tried to start it again, it wouldn't start. i would either have to pop the clutch to start or wait like 1-2 hrs for it to cool off completely. any ideas?? checked to make sure nothin is overheating.
2nd prob: when i first bought the car, the guy had just put on the intake and when i test drove it he said that if you take off in 1st gear and floor it, the engine will cut to idle for a split second and then be right back on....and it did that when i drove it. so i replaced the pcv valve, throt. body sensor, cap, rotor and plugs. as i drove it more it stopped doing that in 1st gear......but then it started doing it when i made right turns only, id be making the turn and it would drop to idle then 1 sec later as long as i was on the gas and in gear, it would come back and run great. i think it has to do with the air/fuel ratio because of the intake but i dont know what will fix it....a comp chip?? any help?
there are a few more but i will have to try a couple more things before i bother any of you on it. thanks for the help
