Pro chamber is on and....

I'm kinda confused by the whole situation, can you take a pic of how it bolts on to the headers?(you said its welded..not sure what you mean)

+1 i dont understand what you are talking about. By your description, it seems as if you have a big leak at the header--midpipe connection. For some reason, the midpipe was welded at this connection and you cannot get it to seal.

what's been welded up? On your midpipe you should have a somewhat loosely fitting piece of metal (it goes over the header studs) that attaches to the header. Is that welded down?

Thats why i dont buy used exauhst components. Stuff gets hot and bends and shapes to what it was origonally on.. Put the mid pipe on alone and wiggle it by itself to make it sit flush..

It will never seal right unless you bold up the headers first.. So your going to have to cut the back off (since its welded.. no idea why someone would do such a thing the stock design is very efficient and rarely leaks) and bolt the header part making sure it seals right, then re-weld the back. You should honestly get the right ball/socket for that and weld it up right so you can unbolt the catback. There are no seals you can buy unless you jpweld it together, which case you'll never get it off

Take it to an exhaust shop, that's probably the only way you are going to get that junk to line up correctly.
Have them cut and connect it the proper way.
The way it sits, it's going to be a nightmare for the rest of your cars life, every time it needs to come off the car.
Me personally i'd rather have the stock exhaust on there, than what has been done to that.

no that has not be welded....the prochamber is a 2 peice one...the drive side right above the prochamber is suppost to be able to be unbolted....that has been welded...where the mid pipe meets the header is how it shouls be...im gonna go out and mess with it some more.

If its leaking where the midpipe meets the headers I would do this:

Loosen the connections
Get a couple of floor jacks and put under the prochamber/catback
Make sure you take all the weight off the hangers
Then bolt it back up to the headers
Do about 3 turns on each nut and keep going back and forth until tight

You wont believe how many people ive saw tighten one side down real tight on a ball/socket flange, then put like 5 turns on the other side and wonder why it leaks.

yeah i know that part...i tighted it down to snug on all bolts then went back though....here is the problem now...the stud on the header snapped :nice: time for some nice shories :) even though i could just put a new stud in there...this gives me a reason...:D

so whats going to be my best bet with headers for this mid pipe?

2 1/2" prochamber
flows.

would MAC shorites be my by best for fitmint to this midpipe?
