Ryan turns 16 soon and since he says that he doesnt speed or endanger the public with his car( remember burnout vids in front of house with oncoming traffic) that he is a safe driver. I am conducting a poll of how long you think it will take for him to
A) wreck his car
B) get a ticket and daddy takes his car
C) Ryan is arrested for running a french poodle smuggling ring and his car is impounded

**not that I wish a car crash or bodily harm upon anyone,,,,seriously**

i think something will happen between 6months-1year. i dont think he'll get anything right out of the gates. I also think it'll either be a speeding or some sort or wreckless driving ticket.

BUT i dont think he'll wreck it (because of his driving at least).

*stay safe little guy :D

Kinda a harsh thread here, but lets face it, he is 16 and will be driving a Mustang. He will do something, the question is, will he tell.

My guess is he will do great at first as its all new then like said he will get confortable and get a little crazy.

I am a dang good driver now as I work in Transportation and have been through a lot of safety training (Smith system) but when I was 16 and took my brothers 96 GT out......... Well lets say I should be dead a few times over. Major lessons learned and I count my blessings for not ever hurting someone.

Good luck Ryan. You are realisticly doing what I dreamed of when I was 16, rebuilding your own Mustang. Everyone here tends to flip you some poo but most I would bet think your doing a pretty good job.

It's impossible to say. I've been driving for 4 years now without incident or ticket, and I've done my fair share of messing around on the street. Although I have had some VERY close calls. On the other hand I know kids that haven't made it past their permit without tickets or wrecking their vehicles. You just have to be a good, smart driver and know where and when you can do things.

I voted a year, give him some credit. I had my '89 at 16 years old and have only one ticket that I got just a couple months ago at 20 years old. Concerning whether or not he will tell...it doesn't matter, here in the great state of Iowa I can check anyone's records : http://www.iowacourts.state.ia.us/
Check my background: Go to the above link, click start a case search, and under Trial Court click case search and enter my name: is Steven Arntson. I'm sure every state has something like this?

well...since my car is technically owned by dad because its in has name since im under 18...(ive paid for it all though...(expect the tax title fee which was like 60 bucks)..my parents said one moving violation and the stang is parked...so ill stick to my burnouts and ill keep on tacking it to the track..im not a speed freak...i just like doing burnouts....of all types...small big ect....ive tooken my car to the track all ready and its mod time...i got to do a wot run and that suits me...ill keep my speeds of over 70 for the track....i bet ya one of you on here will get a ticket before me..........if i get a ticket for anything it will be noise violation as cops are bored in Hilliard and look for anything and everything to pull you over...my parents have not a had a ticket since they got married and i dont want to ruin there good drivers record for them...they pay like a total of 200 a year for a 86 mustang. 76 mustang and a 05 escape and a 99 ranger...both the 99 and 05 with full coverage...both paid off but there still worth a decent penny...

oh..drifting...drifting ghey....

I think we will be responsible. But the burnout video makes me say next summer. It is almost winter here, I don't know wehre he lives, but I know nobody around here has had a car out since October.
