knob job

well my carpet replacement is just leading to one new part after another. I just keep telling myself that since its apart I might as well replace this or that.
So today I have decided that I want a different shift knob and maybe one of those steeda chrome shifter bezels. I was just wondering if anyone had photos of thier shifters.

No photo, but....I had a stainless knob....don't do that....very cold on cold days....very hot on hot days....looked cool....not practical.

As stated, it's hot on hot days and cold on cold ones, but so what. Practical, shmactical, I have about 3 cubic inches of trunk space if I'm lucky, a back seat I basically refuse to use, and so on. I didn't exactly build this car with intent on keeping everything 100% comfortable or useful

My G35 has an aluminum shift knob as well and it gets cold just the same. That's the least of my worries ya know?

i have a chrome handle, and DAMN does it get cold! i like to drive with a hand on the shifter most of the time, but not when winter time comes around. i'll try and find a pic for you...
found one, but its not very good. its also old. theres more billet and chrome pieces inside now, and i think it all looks good together

I don't have a problem with it getting too hot or cold. I've used it for the last 3 years with no prob. Plus it just adds to my sexy interior

Cheaper metals aren't as affected by heat or cold. That's one benefit of the cheaper knobs.

Thanks for the input guys. I was leaning towards the stainless knob just to add some other color than just gray and black in my interior and I love the way the new bullit mustang looks with the stainless knob and shift bezel. I am not to concerned with it getting to cold because this car is just a toy, the to hot part might sway my interest because I dont think the 5 speed configuration burned into my hand will look cool. Thanks

hunh? how so? mild steel is about the cheapest metal on the market.... so a -20* mild steel knob is going to somehow be warmer than a -20* chromed mild steel knob, or a -20*aluminum knob? whatever metal it is, it will acquire the same temperature as it's surroundings.

heres a shot of my UPR shift knob with the 5.0 engraving on the top...which you cant see. Yea on hot and cold days it reflects the temperature but i can live with that.
