Question about Cobra R hood (2k)

How high are the stock ones..I'm looking on ebay and I see they have 2.5, 3 inch ones and some that don't say how much..I really don't want something to high...I like the way the hood looks but I have not seen a side shot of it so i'm not sure what to high is. Here are some I found:

It's honestly not as high as you think, at least from the side view. I saw it on a mustang here at school and it looks lower or about the same as a crowl hood. I don't know about the inside view though.

It's not horrible to look over, but def. a difference from stock. I was used to DD my fox with a 4" cowl, so.... here's side shot of mine for ya.

Thats a really nice look..I was thinking about getting this one or the 03 cobra but the o3 cobra just seems to hard to get...Is yours to OEM specifications or higher (im not sure what oem size is but the ones on ebay sell by inches)

my body shop got everything straight from Ford, so it's OEM

it's a good 2-2.5" rise and it seems to go down most of the hood. Plus it's super light and lots of room underneath

If you dont mind me asking, did your hood cost much more for your body shop to buy directly from Ford, than if you would have ordered from an online store??

yeah...I think the hood was around 600 or so. He went with all ford parts since it was an insurance job in case they came back with an audit. Which is fine by me having all OEM parts

Does anyone have an interior shot of the hood from the driver's seat? I'd like to know how high it comes up from that point of view..

Your hood is perfect...Now I jsut need to find out which one on Ebay is the same as yours

hard to tell. It looks like the second link if an aftermarket hood, but has the back already cut out. I actually like that more. Plus the underside of mine you can see the shape of the louvers, not solid like that one.

So I when I order a new hood I was going to get it from H.O. Fibertrends. According to them they're the ones who make the hoods for Ford Motorsports. Anyone have anything good/bad to say about these guys?

I got mine from H.O., and the fit is great.
