:grouphug:Nice Cobra.
I know how you feel. I miss my old '67 EVERY SINGLE DAY.![]()
Where is the person at in Iowa? Probably in Des Moines or the Quad cities area. I'm far from those places.Sorry Tim. Btw, I'm working with someone from IOWA and he'll be shipping his 68 out here to finish restoring it this spring some time. Then we're gonna play........![]()
My bad, it's a 65 Stang...Elenor green...yes original paint. He's from Cedar Rapids. Another friend of mine has a 68 and someone needs to call Chip Foose on that one as I doubt he will gat around to restoring it.
I located my old car (see post #1). It's close by, in Nebraska. I have the ability to contact the owner.
Should I? The intent would be to see if he would want to part with it.
Good point. The worst they can say is no.![]()
My only fear here is that it's beat or riced to hell and I won't be happy with what I see. :\Go for it! Like Gcomfx says, the worst they can say is no. Stay in touch, if he say no now he may be willing to let it go later.
Could be. Could fail. I'll stew on it this weekend when I'm at the track, racing in a new S197.You never know Tim, dude might have been thinking of selling it but would not pull the trigger, and you calling him might be the key.....go for it.....never know...
