I just installed a Novi 1220sl on my 93 5.0 I am running ported e-7 heads, e303 cam, cobra intake, 70mm tb, and a 255lph fuel pump, stock injectors, and stock MAF. My question is with this setup I have the FMU hooked up for now until I get bigger injectors, MAF and a tune What should I set my fuel pressure at with the FPR and if I adjust it too high will it mess with the FMU. I am running 5-6 psi on my set up. Any help would be great.

the ideal and best and safest way to is to set the FP as stock (39ish) and then have a custom tune, getting rid of the FMU.

but i ran my blower when my combo was milder and with 5-6 psi. with no tune and i did it all manually. i was using 19s with the FMU and i actually saw gains at track (2-3mph at the end) by DROPPING fuel pressure to say 35-36. i guess the FMU was adding too much fuel.

tinker at your own risk though, i thought i my car ran good with just timing and FP changes but it wasnt long before i pushed a head gasket.

Thanks for the help guys I guess I will just put the fuel pressure to 39 and run the fmu until I get it tuned. I have 30 lb injectors to install before I get it tuned but I still need a MAF what size and type would you guys recommend for my setup and 30lb injectors?? Will a 90mm lightning Maf work with my setup?

a Lightning 90MM would work but it has a 4 bolt flange so you have to be sure it will bolt up with your set up. I have one now that I'll be selling soon.

I'd personally stay clear of the 90mm ligntining meter, I have pegged the voltage pretty quick with even a mild boosted combo. I'd recommend a 80mm PMAS meter, it will feed all you ever want and it is one of the best reading meters available.

You'll be able to ditch the FMU once you install the 30# injectors.
