SOme good games this weekend.

The Florida-LSU rivalry never seems to run short on vitriol. LSU defensive tackle Ricky Jean-Francois upped the ante this week by vowing that his linemates, if the opportunity presents itself, will try to knock Gators quarterback Tim Tebow, last year's Heisman Trophy winner, out of the game.

“If we get a good shot on (Tebow), we’re going to try our best to take him out of the game,” Jean-Francois said. “With his size and his heart, it’s hard to get a clean shot.”

Jean-Francois, a Miami native, also said “If he does get hurt, there’s a trained medical staff at Florida, so you can go to the training room on Sunday.”

The blog goes on to report that Jean-Francois and Tigers defensive end Tyson Jackson “both expressed a respect for Tebow and his toughness.”

Several LSU defenders spoke about Tebow Monday in complimentary terms.

"I think every lineman wants to get a good hit on a Heisman Trophy winner."

Zowie...

Plus...Auburn fired their offensive coordinator. The guy who takes over is a former LSU quarterback.

wow, those guys are thugs..... :nonono:

i'm looking forward to saturday! unfortunately, i have to work in the morning, but that's ok, i'll listen to the texas game on the radio or something. but the good thing is, i'm getting a new keg tomorrow, as well as some pork shoulder and ribs. i'll marinade them over night, then put them on at 8 before going to work. when i get home at 2, they'll be good to go! pulled pork and ribs for lunch, buddies all coming over and drinking/watching the games. then my buddy is brining pork chops and brautworst for dinner, so it will be smoking while we're watching, and done in time for UF/LSU!

boy i'm stoked!

He retracted the statment to say he meant he wanted to take him out of the game figuratively. Either way they interviewed Tebow and he didn't take offense. It is they way every team plays.

I'm off so I guess I'll be watching all day.

Oklahoma 35 Texas 17

LSU 24 Florida 17

i'm thinking that ou/ut score is legit....

lsu/uf will be a 3 point game, i think, and, of course, i'm leaning it the way of the gators

I doubt it. I think UT jumps to two and Bama drops to 3. Mizzou will be #1 if they win.

I'm bouncing off the walls with the LSU/Florida game. If my wife doesn't keep from making stupid comments I'm going to bonk her in the head.

Mizzou not looking too good right now. Chase just threw possibly the worst throw I have ever seen him make.

Edit: LSU is well on there way to repeating as National Champs! Remember, it takes at least one loss to be the best!
