"unofficial" 2010 NCAA Football thread

Merry freakin' Christmas :nonono: I just love the 2 days before present us Buckeye fans got this afternoon. See ya'll in '12. These kids are stupid. At least we get to see TP one last time in the Superdome. No way he sticks around when he knows he's looking at a 5 game suspension to start the season. All for selling a few rewards for $2500. Yet Cam Newton's dad can pimp him out for $180,000 and nothing happens since he couldn't find a buyer (that we know of).

Was just about to post about this...:D

But yeah, thats gay how nothing happened to Newton. Not only is Pryor not playing, Boom Herron and Posey are also out the first 5 games......Stupid college athletes :nonono:

Five Ohio State Buckeyes, including Terrelle Pryor, must sit out five games in '11 - ESPN

Sooo...players aren't allowed to sell championship rings?

Against NCAA rules to profit from anything associated with the school...books, underwear, rings. Alabama had players suspended for selling textbooks they had been given as part of their scholarship a few years ago.

The NCAA is a joke. Our top running back, Steven Ridley, has been suspended from the Cotton Bowl because a teacher accused several athletes of cheating. The university investigated and found no merit so she went to the NCAA. Without even checking the facts they suspended him. But it's OK for OSU players to sell jersey's and rings and Newton to make 180,000 bucks but for a kid to be falsely accused and serve a suspension is just wrong compared to these other allegations.

Haha, the NCAA is a huge joke. I mean they claim they didn't know they couldn't sell that stuff and because of ignorance they aren't going to be punished this year. I don't understand how that works but whatever, I mean it just shows that some programs have favor over the NCAA than others.

So Ohio State finally get the SEC Monkey off their back...congrats on being 1-9 vs best conference in the country teams. :p

And Oklahoma gets the BCS win they couldn't get since 2000 against St Mary's School for Girls. Congrats to you too.
