Yes you can, that is the conventional way of doing it.

yes I bought my edelbrock heads already O-ringed from them out of the box

I know a guy who's ran o-ringed heads on non o-ringed blocks in numerous cars, some under boost, with success.

The 351w I'm building has o-ringed TFS heads on a non o-ringed block. I sure hope it's okay, because that's how it's going together!

Im running an o-ringed head on a non o-ringed block and have been for awhile. ZERO problems. Just get the right head gaskets.

Are you looking to run the Lock-Wire gaskets or were you going to run a wire in the head and conventional gasket?
