1983 SVO 5.0 T5 transmission?

1352-034 Ford 1983 SVO Mustang 5.0 V8

Basically, SVO was the equivalent of "Ford Racing" back in the 80's. So SVO here doesn't mean it was for an SVO Mustang. It means it was an aftermarket 1983 "Ford Racing" or "Ford Motorsport" T-5 transmission

The Ford part number is Motorsport M-7003-A

It's a 2.95 geared T-5 with the V8 output shaft. Torque is 305 ft-lbs

There was a turbo four-cylinder in '83 but it was not an SVO. It was a Turbo GT/Turbo RS (Capri).

Turbo RS = '79-'84
Turbo GT = '83-'84
SVO = '84-'86

If you have the Tag ID # then you also have the Ford engineering #, BW serial #, and build date. Post all of the codes from the tag.

If it's Ford Motorsport SVO transmission, it'll have an engineering number reflecting such. I bet it doesn't. For a couple of reasons....1) the tag ID # is too low for a Motorsport SVO transmission AND 2) Motorsport SVO didn't sell the "Z" spec transmissions in '83.

The'83/'84 turbo four-cylinder T5 transmissions also had a first gear ratio much higher than the "Z" V8 T5. (4.03 versus 2.95) Hard to mistake one for the other.
