My 02 sensors went out a few months after installing my exhaust

i have had the exhaust on for almost a year and the dealership replaced them once but they went off again, the place that i got my exhaust and it installed told me that a programmer ( i was planning on getting one anyway with intake) will fix it, what do i do?

you can get a hand held tuner iwth a special tune for the modifications done to your car and they can disable the 02 sensors so you will not see a light appear on your dash. What kind of exhaust set up do you have anyway? Usually with a off-road h or x pipe it'll come on almost immediately.

Ive got the same setup and I have the O2 sensors turned off. By changing the exhaust system you have changed the specific information that the O2 sensor is looking for to send back to the computer. The light coming on doesn't mean that the sensor is bad, just that the fuel/air mixture in the exhaust isn't what it's used to seeing from a factory setup.

No sensors "went out". The rear 02 sensors just need to be tuned off via a programmer. I'd recommend a Xcal3 with custom tunes from VMP Tuning. It's going to clear that light and give you a lot more reliable power !!

same thing with my o2 sensors from my new o/r x pipe. it will not hurt anything to let the light on for a month or two till i get the funds to get the tune will it?

i appreciate the advice, im hopefully gonna put a tuner on there soon, but i've hear intakes are kind of a waste of money so im not sure if im gonna get a new intake yet.

No way !! A cai and tuner like the C&L Racer and a Xcal3 from a place like VMP Tuning will be the best money you've spent on your car.
