to any one that can help me i just got a 5.0 mustang lx
my fan makes a realy loud noice during acelaration i have heard other mustang and they sound nothing like mine
i was wondering could this be the fan clutch thats stuck or wat else can it be
help please its realy nasty

I call it Hoover syndrome. My Capri has it too. It usually quiets down after awhile though. Is yours constant?

Yeah, I hated that old clutch fan hoover sound.
Can get a Mark VIII fan pretty cheap.

If you do decide to go with an electric fan, be sure to upgrade to a 3G alternator at the same time. Otherwise, I'd just get a new fan clutch and poke it on there.

(Btw, Lynn, I do have a spare fan clutch in the closet you could try ... although the one you have right now should still be under warranty.)
