I have a manual transmission in my 87 fox, 302. What would be the difference of having a manual TFI or an automatic TFI on your distributor? Would it make the car run any different?

There's no difference in manual or auto (don't know why the parts stores differentiate them like that). There are grey and black modules.

just my opinion but I would also buy Ford for this part. They seem to last the longest. I had some other brand and it crapped out on me pretty fast, bought a Ford one and still going. I found this with alot of the electrical stuff on my stang.

+1 Ford electrical parts are the only way to go. I had the same experience with the TFI mod

The only difference in FTI Modules is the fox ones mount on the dizzy and the SN95's mount on the fender well. They did this b/c the heat was causing them to crap out more frequently w/ them mounted on the dizzy
