Cobra T56 In my Fox

I have a chance to grab a T56 from an 03 Cobra dirt cheap. Is this the trans that I would use for a swap into my 93 Notch? I know I am going to need a new belhousing, but D&D Performance is only 2 hours away. Thanks!

you can use the '03 cobra T56. I'm assuming you already know about the driveshaft, crossmember, clutch & bell housing like you stated. The thing you will have to deal with/get around is this tranny has an electronic speedo and your 93 has a mechanical speedo. you would have to get an electronic speedo and pick up the signal from the vss. if you don't have one then autometer sells a sendor that plugs into the tranny that will work.

Good luck with D&D selling you anything besides a kit, i dunno about now, but i remeber a while back guys trying to get parts for a conversion and they would not sell them anything...

Last I heard D&D will not sell the crossmember seperate, gotta buy the kit. you can get a bell housing from Quicktime or McLeod and use the hpm crossmember(part# hpm 5059AZ from Holcomb motorsports), have your DS shortened and a 31spline yoke put on.

The only thing that I was worried about was the Bell housing. I have a 2001 Dash in the car with a 95 GT cluster so I am using the VSS already. the drive shaft is a non issue. There is a place In Lima, OH called (of all things...) Lima Clutch & Joint. I can get a custom aluminium (sp?) shaft for 175 bucks. Buddy's Dad works there. The cross member is also a non issue. I can make what ever I need. Thanks for the reply's!!
