351w under 4$

I have a 302 ho in my car now, I want to get a 351 block, i dotn care how or whatever I want to be at 400+ hp on a street car, i wanted to get it bored to 393 or soemthin

can this all be done for under 4000 bucks? sorry bout title lol 4$ is a lil low i guess

how much could it be done for?

I do not want to stick with 302 block.

hell yes it can.

my combo that worked well.
357 hydraulic flat tappet motor (obviously a 393 would make more hp)
trick flow heads with upgraded dual valve springs
custom lunatti cam (degreed +2)
edelbrock performer rpm intake (there are way better options)
1 5/8 bbk shorties

made 360/395 so i would imagine with a 393, a better intake and a better exhaust you could hit 400 or at least be all over it.

yep get one out of a truck or van. if you can get a roller block. 94+ year models

great info so i should get a 94+ block and take it to a shop and have it rebuilt and tell them to bore it out to 393 or what? do i need a stroker kit?

You need to really do some research if you don't know that a 393 is a stroker. Yes, to get 393CI you need a different crank. And new pistons for the over-bore as well.

People are selling 351 short blocks over at corral.net all the time. Just surf the classifieds.

thats at the wheels through a 4 banger t5 and 3:73's im fixing to go didg aorund in a reciept bag of mine and i will pm you the cam specs when i find the card.

edit: even better i still hae the emailed specs on it.
