This is the longest post I have/will ever make.
Last thursday I am in my living room eatting a damn good turkey sandwich with some bbq lays kettle chips with a cream soda minding my own buisness. I see a brand new f-150 turning around in the cul de sac the end of my street that I've never seen before. A few minutes later theres a knock at my door, so I put my sandwich down and answer it. Some guy wearing a orange safety vest is standing there. He tells me he has two triaxle loads of asphalt that he needs to get rid of, says he was working on a water main down the street or something. He says I will pave your whole driveway right now for $X. So I say wellllll I really can't be spending that much now...he goes on to say ok, I just need to get material cost back which he claims was $3k. My driveway would cost $15k+ to pave. I say sure if you can do it for that much go a head. He says come on outside and I'll show you what I'll do. I follow him, he says 2" thick all the way, turn around everything it will be real nice he says. Guy says ok I will be back in a little bit and gives me his card. Card says "since 1982", I've never heard of the company. So I call my father tell him the situation and tell him the company name, same thing he's never heard of them. He makes a couple calls nobody who is anybody has heard of this company. I start getting a bit leary. Guy comes back with the f150, brand new powerjoke, 1 new triaxle(not 2), a trailer on it with a roller, paving box, and skid steer. So it's all looking pretty legit, start thinking to myself that it will be fine nobody just gets $250k worth of machines and vechiles and is a joke. So he starts grading which he worked on for about 10 minutes, never seen a ****ter job. They start laying it down and I am watching and at first its looking pretty good, then starts getting worse and worse. He starts going down the straight part in the driveway with the box as narrow as it will go which is 9' wide. Most driveways are around 12' so its pretty damn narrow. All the sudden he stops, the guy runs out. Clearly there is no other triaxle so he walks up to me and says "look I am 12 tons short I am going to need some $$ to finish the job." So clearly I told him I am not giving you a penny, your doing a ****ty job and didnt even finish. Guy says "well I'll be back in the morning no later then 8 AM and will finish, I will leave my machines here." I say ok and they all pack up and leave. Next morning I wake up at 7 AM and start doing a little research on this ****ty paving operation. The guy is a actual scam artist, saw a pic of him online for doing this exact thing. By exact thing I mean what he does is does a ****ty extremely thin paving job and charge twice as much as he quotes. Generally targets older people and just scares them into giving him the money. I am 22 and not very large so I think he assumed he was going to intimidate me into giving him money without finishing his crappy job and then just never come back, or when he finished he would try and charge me $6k for his crap job. Anyways the D bag didnt show up until 9:30. Soon as he started loading the hoper on the paving box I called troop k which is my local state police. Explained to them what was going on and thought they should come down. Right as they finished a trooper pulled up. The guy running the show and his couple workers were at the end of the driveway which is a dew hundred feet a way from the house. Soon as the trooper pulled up it was obvious they were all scared stiff. Cop starts questioning them, 5 minutes later another rolls up. They talk to the main guy for awhile while the others are loading the machines on the trailer. They talk for a bit, the troopers come talk to me. I explain everything that happened and they go on to tell me the pavers have all been arrested many times the main guy 18 times, 7 of which were for the same thing paving scams. All the sudden the triaxle goes to take off, not a good idea the cops block them in. So they talk to the pavers for about 2 hours longer, eventually everyone leaves but one cop. I havent paid a penny yet. So the trooper says, clearly I dont have to pay anything, they did a really crappy job, no contract, its a fake company, and the list goes on. We talk for a bit, takes a statement and that was that. Basicly a bunch of gypsys paved my driveway for free, while its not nice its better then dirt! I never got to finish my turkey sandwich.

Then we had to break it in, vids will be posted soon. Been trying to figure out how to save videos to my computer for 1/2 hour even though I've done it 100 times.

. The cops going to press any charges on them or did the they just kick them out?
