Broken stud on gt40 intake

Was removing a gt40 from the junkyard and noticed that one of the studs used to mount the throttle body to the upper plenum was broken off flush with the plenum. Has anyone has to remove/repair one of those studs? Or is the upper intake now junk?

Awe crap, so basically, it doesnt 'screw' out? Is the stud pressed in?

its screw in, but unless you can get ahold of the end of it with some vice grips, you'll have to drill and tap it to pull it out

Yes, use an easy out or something of the like. If it comes out that way then no need for all that drilling and tapping.

+1. Be careful, maybe use some penetrating lube (that's what she said), and use an extractor to get it out. I yanked all the studs out of my intake and I run long bolts on the TB now.

I also run long bolts on the TB now because of a snapped off stud.

i just did a swap also..2 bolts broke in the block....had to drill and tap them,wasnt fun!
