What tools do I need. 5lug conversion

I know we have a lot of threads on this but I could not find what I was looking for. I found a donor 95, and they will take 125 for everything I need on the swap. I am going to run up and get the parts tomorrow. What tools will I need? Still learning the Ford side of mechanics.

Any info would help!

A lot...wrenches, sockets, cutters, balljoint tool, 5 lb sledge, metric sockets for the booster nuts, flare wrenches for the brake lines, extensions and universals for the booster nuts. I beleive most if not of the caliper stuff is metric.

You'll need to pull the axle shafts out as well to take the rear brakes off.

Take friends...you'll be there all day pretty much stripping.

Now, the ball joint tool, is that just the fork? I heard there was a way around it.

There is. Loosen the castle nut but don't remove it, leave the coil spring in and strut bolted up and whack the side of the A-arm and hope you have enough PB blaster to break the spindle off the balljoint. Then, support the A-arm, unbolt the strut and remove the spindle.

At least let the a-arms down. Don't leave a loaded spring there in the bonyard to shoot out and potentially hurt someone if someone moves the car.

Now that I think about, This is one thing I never did on my F-body! Had those apart many times, but never removed a spindle
