2011 Stang Review!!!

I fell like the rest of you who say you're gonna stop working on your current rides. :( I was thinking about putting a procharger on mine down the road but know I'm not so sure. I don't want to have another car payment for a long time so what I'm thinking of doing is to get a 2012 in 2015. LOL! I'm gonna try to put away 300 every month into a high yield savings account for the next 4 1/2 years and then try to buy a used 12' cash. That is if people are actually selling them.

im with all of you. with heads that flow 350+(reportedly) boost will only inflate the 5.0 numbers accordingly. low boost and 500-550 crank hp is what the whipple kit makes. i may whipple mine, or get the boss 302R intake and bolt -ons.

my guess either way its going to get 400rwhp all motor, or 500rwhp low boost. win-win. it only needs to gain 35rwhp from bolt-ons to get 400rwhp.

I don't think it will be to hard to get that 35rwhp with a CAI, X-pipe, cat back and a good 93oct dyno tune. That will put you at a nice 460 crank hp.

I don't think that they flow 350 CFM. The R&D team said they outflow GT500 heads by 4%. The best number I have seen for those heads is 268 unported. I am thinking the coyote heads will be 280 stock. Ported I am sure they could get 350 though.

its possible that is correct, but the article named Yates D3 heads to .475 lift.

we will see when these hit the flow benches.

i based my numbers on the yates head, not the R&D gt500/gt flow.

Cylinder Head & Valvetrain
"The Coyote head at a given lift actually outflows a Yates D3 head." Now that Adam Christian, internal combustion engineering analyst, has your attention, "It's a Four-Valve, right, we're cheating [The radical Yates NASCAR race head is a two-valve.-Ed.], but up to our peak lift, 13mm, we're actually out-flowing the Yates head. And that pretty much means we're outflowing Brand X, Y, and Z."

that was a direct quote from adam

Don't pay any atention to those regurgitated SHM figures. He came up with those throwing darts at a dart board as far as I'm concerned. All credible sources I've seen state that GT500/Ford GT heads flow 330 cfm @.500" lift in 28".
