Lots of new detailing stuff! PC Content!!

So I got some money for my birthday a few weeks ago and ordered a bunch of new detailing stuff from Chemical Guys as well as a PC 7424XP from Tools Plus. I couldn't believe the deal, I got the PC, 6" backing plate, counterweight, and a free microfiber for $125 and free shipping!

As for the CG stuff, I had bought the Green Clean, Luber and Claybar, Liquid Leather, Swirl Remover and Window Cleaner a few weeks ago. I have used all the products and they are all awesome! As for the Citrus Wash, and Silk Shine VRT dressing I got those recently, and the pad cleaner came free with the 3 Hexlogic Pads I got. My brother got me the applicator pads, wheel brush, and monster microfiber for my birthday. I also have a bottle of Clearkote Moose Wax coming from my little brother for my birthday.

I can't wait to graduate in a month and have some time to actually wash my neglected, pollen covered car.

Here's the Handz-esq shots:

That's quite the haul you have there! I too graduate in a month and cannot wait to spend some time polishing the Mustang
You say the swirl remover works good?? I am shopping around for the best stuff (probably going to do my entire vehicle) and I've looked at the Meguiars swirl remover and the Ultra compound as well.

Yea, the Swirl Remover is awesome. I had a couple of pretty big scratches on my quarter panel from a cat or some animal, and I tried some Turtle Wax swirl remover I had and it did nothing. The CG stuff worked like a charm and it was only put on by hand! I can't wait to use this stuff on the PC!

The Meguiars Deep Crystal Polish works better than the swirl remover. I used it on mine right after the Megiars swirl remover, and it took out stuff that the swirl remover didn't even touch. Great stuff for the price. O'Reilly is the only place I could find that carries it, though.

I wish I could see some of the CG products/results in person; that may convince me to go with them instead of Meguiars.

so what do you detail heads recommend i go with, all i have right now as far as car paint care is

meguiars car wash

meguiars clay bar

meguairs 3 step

1. paint cleaner

2. polish

3. wax

i apply all these with a cheap 30 dollar walmart wheel

ive done all these in order and the car looks decent but nothing even close to what some of others have done, i still have plenty of nice swirl marks

Ya +1 with the swirl marks here too....
I do not use a machine and I seriously have my doubts (and well... I just feel like I did a better job when I've used my hands to do all the work)
I will most definitely get some of the swirl remover. I've heard really good things about the deep crystal polish as well.
So many products... So little money lol

When I first started detailing my car I thought that it was better to do things by hand too, but after I used a buffer everything changed. You just can't get the even coverage by hand with compounds and polishes like you can with a machine. I always apply wax by hand though. Good luck man!

Damn! very impressive stock of stuff and shine. I usually stick with what i know when it comes to waxes and washes. I mainly use Gliptone or Meguires, however i have a friend who works for Simoniz and he gets me all the industrial, car dealer/car wash stuff. I have a bottle of "Correction Cream" that he said if i have it applied by a buffer will make my car look like it was dipped in liquid glass. And so far everything i have used from him works a hundred times better than 3M, Gliptone and Meguires. i would get the orbital (polish wheel) and do it myself, but i dont wanna mess up the paint.

I haven't used the Porter Cable yet, but from all the videos I've seen and everything I've read its pretty much impossible to mess your paint up with it. If you put too much pressure on it, the pad will just stop rotating and just vibrate to you don't burn the paint. I can't wait to use this damn thing!

nice, in that case im gonna get myself one lol
I got the buffer from Tools-Plus. it came with a 6" backing plate, counterweight, and free microfiber for $125 with free shipping! Thats the absolute best deal your gonna find besides getting a used one. I also got a sample pack of Hex-Logic pads (orange, white, & black) from Chemical Guys with a free bottle of their pad cleaner for $24. Considering the pads are normally $10 each and I got 3 of them and a bottle of cleaner for $24, I was pretty pumped. Here's the links:
