Making some progress

I'm not sure if anyone remembers but when I got my mustang it was in need of some repairs. But thanks to great friends and access to any tool that we would need we have made some good progress on making the car whole again

Took out gauge cage in dash and put in factory vents

Installed passenger seat belt buckle as well as putting all 4 bolts in the seat to hold it down. Also fixed seat track so the seat now slides forward and backward

Hooked up PVC valve on valve cover and installed a breather on the driver side valve cover

Put in radiator overflow tank

Installed new valve cover gaskets. With the valve covers off, found out the engine has Jegs 1.6 roller rockers(Is this good?)

Put steering column cover on so It doesn't look like I stole my car

Best of all I picked up a sway bar today for $20:D.I included a picture. Does anybody know if it is a factory front sway bar or aftermarket:shrug:

Will I notice a difference with the sway bar on as opposed to not being on?

Tomorrow we will be putting the sway bar on and fixing an exhaust leak:nice:

Still on the list is buying and installing new kyb shocks and struts and diagnose why the engine is doing spark knock:shrug:

If its pinging you need to check the timing and then go from there. You have to unplug the spout and set the base timing then plug the spout back in if its EFI.

looks like a stock sway bar...they all got that green paint on them....spark knock is timing check it with the spout out

You know, I bet the pinging is the timing make sure you check it with the spout out....

I TOLD YOU SO!!! It's annoying dude.

looks like the stock sway bar to me.
you'll notice a difference, but if you're intending to build a car seeing a lot of strip time, you wont want that boat anchor...

ive never had any problems with my car, and i stopped running the front sway quite a while ago

Got some more done this weekend. Picked up some factory ac control knobs and a fuse panel cover. Also go the exhaust leak fixed. When we went to take the driver side header off 5 of the bolts could be loosened by hand. And after we got the header off we found that the gasket blew out an there were holes in it.

This week I will be picking up a timing light and a new serpetine belt.

I forgot to mention the biggest change. Last month I made the move from temple Texas to Columbus Ohio where I grew up. I drove the mustang 21 straight hours to get to Columbus. It was doing about 18mpg. I don't think that's too bad for a 331 stroker
