Sims your just jealous his car looks better, hey maybe the OP was like me and tried to look big naming off all his mods and thought it would sound way cooler by saying FULL flowmaster exhaust, who knows. if you dont like it i suggest you and my lil pony should go hold hands and talk about it

Next, since you said you were new to the Mustang World, I'm gonna assume you're new to performance cars as well. My first recommendation would be to take your car to the track if you haven't already and start achieving some personal best times. That fact that you have a slightly modded GT and got blown out by a stock WS6 by 5 car lengths makes me think you're REALLY new to the Mustang world. I remember being in your situation awhile ago then going to the track for the first time. The second time I went, I was able to nail my own personal best ET at the time. I ended up going to the track more often and eventually was able to knock off close to a full second of that old personal best with the same car.:shrug: Idk too much anymore about car lengths ;) but I'm think a stock WS6 auto should run mid to high 13s where I think your car should run a low 14 (anyone correct me if I'm wrong)

You could spend the big $$ on a supercharger but I know you could do without it. If it were me, I'd get a nitrous kit and tune it for a 125 to 150 shot. Enough to blow the doors off the WS6 assuming you go to the track like I said. If you do wanna get a blower you should ask yourself if you wanna build the bottom end too
 
I aint jealous of ****, i like the hood, thats about it, yellow isnt my color, fact of the matter is just about every post i have seen where he comments he bashes, unlike a lot of people i have respect for other peoples cars, i go to stang meets every wed and give props no matter how the car looks sounds or anything, i never EVER bash anyone because i would not want to be bashed, its called ****ing respect, i don't care if i drop to a ****ing civic i will pull up next to the kid and give him props for a job well done, do i agree with his knowledge, yes he does give good advice, but you cant be a dick and also go around bashing ****, that's what im getting pissed about. We are all here for the same reason, to learn and to teach, there should be absolutely NO BASHING to fellow mustang member/owners its like a brotherhood, Man up, admit your wrong and its done, move on and stop bashing people.
 
Does the WS6 have the same power as the 2002 SS Camaro? With what i had in my tbird i was nose to nose with this kid i knew in college, i got the jump on him cause he was driving stick, but it was pretty even the whole way. gotta love trips off campus!

Dude, brush the sand out of your vagina already. You've turned this thread into a "I hate Nightfire because..." thread. All you're going to accomplish is getting a thread closed because you can't handle grown up conversations. Get over yourself, the site isn't all about you.
 
not sure about the power between the 98 and 02, but they have the same power plant (ls1). my 92 formula was a full second quicker then my mustang, go figure i traded that formula with 70 more hp then the mustang for the mustang. but anyway mine was the l98 powered formula the same engine as the vette for 89-91, (350cid TPI motor) i did a cam swap p&p intake and heads, and custom chip and made 278hp at the wheels, the only down fall it was an auto car, until swapped the 3.27s to 3.73s and WOW it was fun. but i wanted something different.
 
never said the thread was about me, its about this kid asking about mustangs, im simply defending my position and the kids as well cause for real, enough with the bashing, i dont hate nightfire, i just dont think that his negative comments are really needed in all of his posts, i can only take so much of that crap before i snap, again its called respect, treat others with it and you will get the same, its an easy concept and should be tried, it would have ended if he just said you know what your right im sorry that was not called for, but he has to be mr big balls and keep at it, i dont back down, i dont care who you are, im a taurus its what i do, i already apologized to the thread maker and the mods, and i moved on after making my point to try to help this kid out, but everyone else seems to wanna keep this going, so whos next? i got all day.

true, maybe it was just the driver when i raced the kid, but i know i was nose to nose with him the whole way, im just trying to figure out how he dropped 5 lengths with the mods he has to his stang... unless the trans am was packing serious stuff under the hood...
 
im not new to performace cars i also own a 550 rwhp mk3 supra and multiple dsm awd cars but the mustang is the first v8 car ive ever owned and in my opinion its a turd even with all the mods and a bama tune i have the pi heads to install still they are ported w/ 3 angle valve job stock valves and springs but ive read so many things on pi vs npi heads i dont know what to do i would love to stay n/a thats the whole reason i bought the mustang or hell even 300 rwhp would be cool because where i live is chevy town lots of vettes and pontiacs and alot of 5.0 cars my 4.6 gets dogged everyday so i just want to show them it can be a fast car or at least close sure i can roll the big turbo toyota out but thats not why i joined the mustang world i love the looks the sound just not the performance all the comments on here are nice idc if he bashes me i dont know that guy nor will i ever see him in a lifetime i mean i do appreciate the support fellas this forum is awesome and im not here to talk about other mustangs.... now im not a fan of yellow but im sure he loves it so cool whatever at least its not a bmw lol
 
im still trying to figure out how he beat ya bro, like i said, my 95 tbird with the work i had done was nose to nose with an 02 SS, i was auto he was manual, and my tbird had about the same power maybe less than my stang now....5 lengths is a lot. I mean to stay NA you have plenty of options, you can get a performance intake manifold, heads stage 2 cams, going with an aluminum drive shaft will decrease your weight a bit, u/d pulleys im a believer in, and of course gears, i wanna stay NA as well, and what i just mentions is what i plan on doing if i really wanna amp up my car, but for now im just waiting on an SCT tune and J-Mod shift kit, then im done for a while.
 
your naive enough to think there are any stock ls1 around? :)

My point is EVEN a STOCK LS-1 will put bus lengths on a mildly modded T-bird.

Sure there is some stock ones out there, I know of a couple. A modded LS-1 could beat a mildly modded NPI T-bird using the accel button on its cruise control.

( BTW if you never have tried that it's fun.. When somebody thinks they are racing you and all you are doing is holding down the accel button)
