1988 clutch safety switch

i just recently got a 1988 5.0 its got a couple things to work on but the first to take care of is the clutch pedal that you almost put thru the floor to start it is there a adjustment for this ? i would like to keep this setup i really dont want to bypass the system thanks in advance steve

As I recall, you can kind of adjust it. However if you bury the pedal through the floor while driving, it resets the position of the switch (so you have to bury it to start the car).
