You too. At least Mike shouldn't be out driving and cracking up another car.
:stick:<-Mike

blow me!!

this was the first time the wreck was my fault!!!
The Cobra was sitting still when i got hit, and back in the 90s i got collected in a 3 car crash by a drunk dude!

The Volvo was 100% my fault...i was going to fast and found some snow and lost it

searching for an F150 now!

Get the Supercrew if you can. You just can't beat having 4 full doors with the utility of a PU.

Oh yeah, Happy New Year! Any New Year's resolutions? I have a few, like getting Christopher out in a fishing boat, and taking him tubing. I have also vowed to remodel the basement, and take some living space back. It's amazing how many things accumulate with a child in the house(f'n toys).

Did you nail a deer before?
I thought you only got BJs on your birthday :rlaugh:.

I'm giving a lot of serious thought about getting the superduty with the powerstroke. Maybe in the next year or so. I love the crazy power you can make with one but I want to wait a little to see how things pan out for the new engine. Also want to see what aftermarket parts and tuners will be developed. It definitely needs better fuel economy. I already know some tuners will give you better economy. Combine the tuner with a Diesel Particulate Filter delete kit and you will see more power and economy. Picked up some magazines today so I can start doing a little more reading on the subject. I'm leaning toward the supercab.
GMC has a pickup concept aimed right at the Raptor. It has a Duramax, which can be tweaked to make some serious steam.

That's a nice toy you are looking at there. If I had a choice, I would have a Super Duty as well. The pros and cons are something you really have to weigh out financially, because operating a diesel is a different animal. We have an older F-250 at work that is used as a utility truck, and let me tell you, that thing motivates. Would you be using it as a work truck, or are you just looking for a cool toy?

I'm leaning toward cool toy that can haul stuff. When we sell our house we plan on heading out into the country a little ways. So I might need something to plow plus haul stuff. We have seen a few houses with pellet stoves so I might need something to haul a ton or two at a time.
Also been thinking what if I could sell the stang for a good price. That would make the diesel more attractive for the shear power and ease of pushing a button to add 60-200hp. Wouldn't need the stang for the track, I could use the truck.
You think the older truck you have at work hauls butt. The power of the new engine is even greater. I'd like to take one for test drive. Stopped by the dealer in town today to check out the trucks. Wanted to take a good look at the colors and sizes of the various superdutys that they had. I figure a regular cab with the 8 foot bed is about the length of my 4Runner. I'm leaning toward the supercab with the 6 foot bed. Definitely sits higher with a long ass hood compared to the Toyota. I want to find out what the differences between the 250 and 350 are. I just need to go down some Saturday so I can open up the trucks and take a real good look inside and maybe go for a drive. My brother-in-law has a superduty that I drove maybe 2 years ago when it was brand new. The thing I remember was it was tall and huge.
As I said it wont happen soon and I will keep an eye on the aftermarket to see what is available to up the MPGs first and power second. Oh yeah, I like the step in the tailgate since I'm short. Even though GM likes poking fun at that step I think it was a good idea.
Speaking of toys I have been looking at AR 15s for a while now and there is a place online that has an awesome price on one. $650-$670 with real good reviews on the gun. Sooner or later that one will be coming my way. Thinking of bringing my Dan Wesson .357 over to Cabela's to see what they will give me for it. I could use that money toward the AR.

I think the biggest difference between the 250's and 350's is the payload capacity( 3/4 ton vs. 1 ton), and the upgraded parts to make it all happen.

I haul 1 ton of wood pellets at a time in the bed of my 150, which with me in the vehicle is 800 lbs over my GVWR. Although my truck seems to handle it fine, I don't feel warm and fuzzy when I do it. Between that and plowing with my truck, I am really taking the 150 outside of what it is meant to do. There is something to be said about hauling whatever you want without thinking twice about it.

well the truck is definitely on my wish list for a vehicle but there are other things that come first. Have to sell this house and find a new place first then we will have to see what money is left over. Had a house showing last night, 4 for tomorrow and one for Saturday. Hope someone starts making a serious offer.

well we have two different people that are very interested but they both need to go back to the bank this week to see if they can get more financing. Talk about wasting our time. You should have had that crap done before you looked at a house just outside your price range. At least there are a couple of people that are serious. Seven showings in just a few days is pretty damn good so we must be priced right. Soon we may be looking for a place to rent and a place to store my car.

thanks but I'm not driving it that far in the winter. I think I have to go sweet talk a friend of mine that has a huge garage only 2 miles away.
No work today. Work was canceled for the day. Surprised it happened twice this winter and it the third time since I've worked there. I was out the previous 2 days with a stomach virus that had stuff coming out both ends of me on Monday.

I went to south portland, roads were crap!! But the STI took it with ease. Did pick up this at sears. The Compressor will be coming along shortly.
