I'm going to go from a 9lb (3-1/4" I think) to a 12lb (3" I think) cause our air is so thin up here. Do I have to use Kenne Bell's pulley or is there alternatives? And will any pulley tool work?

Kenne Bell's manual says that you need to use their pulley and pullye tool. I'm sure other tools will work but from experience, I only used KB's.

Yeah, I was reading that on their site last night. Their prices have gone up. Before you could get the tool and the pulley for $70, now it's like $200.
